The Flood Warning continues for
the Missouri River at Sibley.
* From Friday evening to late Tuesday night.
* At 9:39 am Thursday the stage was 18.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Friday before midnight and
continue to rise to near 23.4 feet by Sunday morning. The river
will fall below flood stage by early Tuesday morning.
* At 22.0 feet... low-lying rural areas along the river and outside of
levee protection flood.

The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill MO has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Fishing River near Mosby.
* Until Saturday afternoon.
* At 7:55 PM Thursday the stage was 13.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by this evening and continue to
rise to near 25.5 feet by Friday morning. The river will fall below
flood stage by early Friday afternoon.
* At 26.0 feet... 6th street is flooded. East Mosby Road is the only
passable Road into or out of town.
* At 25.0 feet... both Pony express Road north of the city and 3rd
street on the south side of Mosby are flooded. 6th street and east
Mosby Road are the only passable roads into or out of town.
* At 18.0 feet... fields near Mosby flood and a low-water crossing on
west Road is impassable.

the little Platte River at Smithville.
* Until late Friday night.
* At 6:30 PM Thursday the stage was 28.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 27.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 31.9 feet by
early Friday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Friday
morning.
* At 30.5 feet... bridge street, Main Street, State Route dd, and
State Route f begin to flood.

... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
southern Leavenworth... Wyandotte... northern Johnson... western
Lafayette... Daviess... ray... southeastern Platte... Jackson... Caldwell
and Clay counties...

At 557 PM CDT... gauge reports indicated thunderstorms were producing
heavy rain over the warned area with nearly 4 inches of rain
reported near the Kansas City International Airport, and widespread
reports of more than 3 inches across southern Platte County. This
has lead Ferrelview Village officials to evacuate some apartments
due to the high water. Flash flooding is expected to continue.

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... urban areas... highways... streets and
underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

City International Airport, and widespread reports of 3 inches
